SUMMARYWe have come to an end of our journey through the realm of Clio, the muse of history. We have met different people, read different books, surfed different web sites, visited different places of historic value to find the answers to the set task to find out and describe how the human fates have changed at the turning points of history of the controversial 20th century and at the threshold of the new millenium. We let the viewer decide how successful we have been in meeting our goals. We enjoyed the long-term co-operation of two years in our three-national Estonian-Croatian-Polish team immensely. We could exchange our views on the history of our nations, though sometimes quite conflicting in some issues expressed on the "Phorum", from our grandparents' times till the present day. We must confess that it was a real challenge for us, but we hope that withstood it satisfactorily and it has brought good results. We became convinced that Europe is one and indivisible integrity, the fates of European people, their common happiness or misfortune is dependent on every individual's personal share in making it, and on their ability to co-operate, as we did it in our project. We are happy to have been able to know each other better, as well as our schools, cities and countries. An immense role to bring nearer our students was played by the visits of Estonian and Croatian students and teachers to Poland at their invitation. The partners are expecting forthcoming return visits of Polish students and teachers to their respective schools, cities and countries. We may say that we are more aware of each other's history and culture than we were before the contest. Talking to our parents, grandparents, teachers, reading our partners' opinions helped us understand the importance of our "awareness" of our coninuosly changing world and living styles in the European context. Let us not forget that we are human beings, a part of history, but our role in it is not to be tiny nuts in huge machinery, but we can be masters governing it. But we must learn from the mistakes of our past to secure our safe future. We cordially hope that our successful co-operation will continue in future whatever the next challenge is. It would be perfect if our joint adventure could continue at any new "Europe @t School" contest...
