Meeting Point History

Welcome

to the presentation of our project "Human fates at the turning points of history".

We chose a muse who will help us contact with you. She is Clio (the "Proclaimer"), the muse of history and presides over historical and heroic poetry. She was believed to descend from Parnassus and fill men with a fever for both delving into old manuscripts and for searching out those who could tell them about past times. Then, under her patronage, these scholars would inscribe what they believed had happened.

Clio has written many records how we, Estonians, Poles and Croats have experienced many happy and sad events in our people's lives in the last century. The students from:

Viljandi Paalalinna Gymnasium, Estonia,
VI Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace, Katowice,
and
Srednja Skola Vrbovec, Croatia

have undertaken a huge task to be the disciples of Clio and record some opinions, memoirs and facts about the history of our three countries in the European context in the 20th century, and some views at the beginning of the new, 21st century. We hope that the viewer will enjoy our experience received from the topic, immersing into history books and manuscripts, meeting and interviewing different people, visiting historic places, enjoying mutual visits, and even picturing our Muse.
