Europe

We are "travelling" towards the united Europe, so it is always good to check your knowledge about it, its geography, history, institutions. Try the QUIZ, check your knowledge, have fun, you may actually learn something new.

In less than a hundred years, European political borders changed more times than one can remember. We chose to show Europe in 1914, before World War I started, then Europe in 1930, a patched up peace that did not last and led to World War II, which resulted in yet another presumably "everlasting" political map after 1949. The last map shows Europe today. Another thing we wanted to show is the position of our respective countries – Poland, Estonia and Croatia. Our ancestors changed several countries - different empires, independent states, quasi federal units within a bigger political structure. It must have been interesting to change different passport covers three times in a lifetime. Take a look.

Europe in 1914.

Europe in 1930.

Europe in 1949.

Europe today
